Stored only in your browser

Your list, the movies you've seen and skipped (skips are forgotten after 30 days), the taste profile built from your swipes, your language, the name you use in rooms and tests, and the ID of your last test are kept in your browser's local storage. None of this is sent to our servers.

You can delete all of it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Cookies

We use a single cookie, "lang", to remember your language (1 year). There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so we don't ask for cookie consent.

Movie suggestions

To fetch cards, your answers (genre, runtime, era, services, etc.), language, country and the IDs of movies already shown are sent to our server, which gets movie data from TMDB. These requests are not stored or linked to you.

Rooms and "How well do you know me?"

If you use these modes, the name you enter (max 20 characters), the movies and your votes are stored in our database (Supabase, Frankfurt / EU) so the people you share the link with can match with you. Anyone with the link can see the names and results. Write to us if you want them deleted.

Anonymous usage stats

To improve the site we keep anonymous numbers from swipe sessions: cards swiped, likes, the card of the first like, chosen genres and mode. Each session uses a randomly generated ID; no name, IP address or device information is recorded.

We also measure usage anonymously: which pages are opened, country (derived from the IP address; the IP itself is not stored), device type, operating system and browser, where visitors came from (e.g. Google), the choices made in the questions and which titles were liked, skipped or marked as watched. Visitors are counted with a daily-changing, irreversible hash; nothing that identifies you is kept. Detailed records are deleted after 90 days; daily totals are kept. Legal basis: legitimate interest (improving the service).

Abuse prevention

We rate-limit room, test and stats requests to stop spam. For this, an irreversible hash of your IP address is kept for at most 1 day; the IP address itself is not stored. Legal basis: legitimate interest (security of the service).

Third parties

Hosting: Vercel. When you visit, your IP address may briefly be processed in Vercel's security and error logs.

Visit and speed stats: Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. They use no cookies; only aggregated, anonymous data is kept, such as which pages were visited, country, device type and page load speed. Visitors are counted with a daily-changing, irreversible hash; nothing that identifies you is stored.

Movie posters and service logos load directly from TMDB's servers, which receive your IP address.

Trailers load from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) only when you play them.

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, correct or delete your data, object to processing and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Write to ahmetsilkin01@gmail.com; we reply within 30 days.
